(Scottsdale, AZ) – Voters in District 23, which includes Scottsdale, the town of Fountain Hills and Rio Verde will see Scottsdale businessman Joseph Chaplik’s name on the Republican ballot for August 4th, 2020 Primary.  Chaplik is not new to politics as he worked to help pass the popular proposition 420 to protect the Sonoran Mountain Gateway Preserve from being developed by the city of Scottsdale in 2018.

Joseph is a Scottsdale resident, married with 2 children and runs a successful commercial real estate business with offices in 3 states.  Prior to real estate, he was an executive in the Telecommunications industry.  As of the last available finance report, Chaplik had outraised all of his opponents in the District 23 race for Arizona House of Representatives, proving him to be a formidable challenger.

As stated on his website at JosephChaplik.com, he supports low taxes, maintaining a strong economy and limited government He believes in stopping the illegal immigration crisis and fighting to keep Arizonalegislature “Red.” “Before entering this race, I spoke with a lot of friends and associates in our district who were looking for a new, conservative voice in the state legislature,” said Chaplik. “It’s time for a change with new leadership for District 23 and I want to be that voice to proudly represent the voters.  Leading with a conservative, business approach with common sense policies”, Chaplik continued.  One of the incumbents,Jay Lawrence, barely beat the Democrat opponent in 2018 in one of the most conservative districts in the state.

Chaplik serves in the U.S. Marshals Posse and has been very involved in charitable organizations like Maricopa County Sheriffs Memorial Fund, Ronald McDonald House Charities, and Childhelp, where he gives his time and makes financial contributions.  He also served as President of the Parent’s Board for his children’s school.  Joseph is CEO of Joseph Bernard Investment Real Estate, which has won several awards including the Inc. 5000 Fastest Growing Private Companies, Corporate Philanthropy Annual Award, and was a finalist for a Business Ethics Award.
